Dermal Fillers
Subtle Refinement by Dr. Chi
Facial rejuvenation is not about 'filling' lines; it is about restoring balance. At Restore Skin Clinic, I utilise advanced techniques to provide scaffolding to areas like the cheeks and jawline where volume naturally depletes.

Many of my patients know they want a refreshed look but aren't sure which treatment is right for them. Below are the most common concerns I treat at the clinic:
-
The Concern: Two prominent lines (often called 'smile lines' or 'laugh lines') that run from the corners of the nose down to the mouth. These can create a shadowed, heavy, or 'sad' appearance even when your face is at rest.
The GP Approach (The Root Cause): Many people believe we simply "fill the line." However, as a GP, I assess the source of the problem. These lines are often caused by a loss of volume in the cheeks; as the "scaffolding" of the mid-face weakens, the skin over the cheek slides forward and downwards, creating a fold.
The Solution: Rather than just filling the crease—which can lead to an unnatural, puffy look—I often use Cheek Volumisation. By strategically placing dermal filler in the mid-face, we "anchor" and lift the cheek tissue back to its youthful position. This naturally tensions the skin, softening the nasolabial fold from above for a far more subtle and sophisticated result.
-
The Concern: A loss of definition along the jawline and the appearance of "jowls" or sagging skin.
The Solution: Structural support using cheek and jawline contouring. By lifting from the mid-face, we can physically "anchor" the skin to restore a crisp, youthful jawline.
-
The Concern: Deep folds running from the nose to the mouth (Nasolabial folds) or down to the chin (Marionette lines), often creating a "sad" expression.
The Solution: Softening these folds by replacing lost volume at the source, smoothing the skin's surface while maintaining natural movement.
-
The Concern: Fine vertical lines above the top lip that cause makeup to smudge and make the mouth area look aged.
The Solution: Subtle "barcode" line hydration. We use an incredibly fine filler to smooth these delicate lines without adding unnatural bulk to the lip itself.
-
The Concern: A loss of lip volume, a blurred lip border, or a "flattened" appearance.
The Solution: Subtle hydration and border definition. As a GP, my goal is to restore the natural pillowy texture and shape of your lips, ensuring they remain soft and perfectly in proportion.
Your Clinical Questions Answered
-
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore lost volume and smooth deep-set lines. At Restore Skin Clinic, I exclusively use Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers.
HA is a substance that occurs naturally within your skin, holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water to keep your tissues hydrated and structurally sound. As we age, our natural HA levels deplete, leading to hollowing and skin laxity. By precisely replacing this HA, we can 'lift' the face and soften shadows without the need for surgery.
-
By prioritising structural integrity over superficial plumping, I achieve natural-looking results that honour your individual beauty. You can expect to leave looking refreshed and revitalised—the best version of yourself, with results that are as safe as they are subtle.
-
No. HA fillers are naturally and safely broken down by your body over 6 to 18 months. They are also fully reversible, providing an essential safety net that I oversee as your clinician.
-
I use premium fillers that contain a local anaesthetic (Lidocaine) to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.
