Regenerative Polynucleotide Treatment | Expert Under-Eye & Skin Repair in Wimborne

As an aesthetic Doctor, I selected Polynucleotides for our Wimborne clinic because they offer a regenerative approach that traditional fillers cannot. By using purified DNA fragments, we aren't just 'masking' hollows; we are signalling your cells to repair themselves.

Regenerative Skin Repair: The Natural Alternative to Fillers

If you are looking for a refreshed, well-rested appearance without the "overfilled" look of traditional dermal fillers, Polynucleotides offer a sophisticated medical solution. Rather than adding artificial volume, these purified DNA fragments act as biological signals, instructing your skin to repair, thicken, and hydrate itself from within.

Targeting Your Specific Problem Areas

Polynucleotides are exceptionally versatile and are particularly effective for delicate areas that are difficult to treat with other methods:

  • Our most popular application. It targets dark circles, hollows, and "crepey" skin by thickening the fragile lower eyelid tissue and improving circulation—all without the risk of puffiness often associated with under-eye fillers.

  • Smooths horizontal "necklace lines" and firms the thin, sagging skin on the neck and décolletage that often betrays our age.

  • Gently softens fine vertical lines around the mouth while maintaining your natural movement and lip shape.

  • Uses the power of cellular regeneration to remodel scar tissue, improving both texture and pigmentation for a more even skin tone.

  • Provides a subtle "bio-lifting" effect by restoring the skin's foundation of collagen and elastin.

Frequently Asked Questions: Regenerative Skin Repair

  • Polynucleotides are biostimulating molecules derived from purified DNA fragments.
They promote skin repair by improving hydration, elasticity, and tissue regeneration.
Used in to enhance skin quality and healing.

  • No. While fillers add instant volume to 'plump' a hollow area, Polynucleotides are a biostimulator. They work at a cellular level to tell your body to repair itself. Instead of adding a foreign gel to create volume, we are using purified DNA fragments to thicken your own skin and improve its natural elasticity.

  • Regeneration takes time. You may notice an initial 'glow' within a few days due to deep hydration, but the true collagen-stimulating effects typically peak around 6 to 8 weeks after your second or third session. This is a gradual 'skin reset' rather than an instant transformation.

  • Think of the first session as 'waking up' the cells (fibroblasts). The second and third sessions provide the building blocks needed to actually rebuild the skin's structure. For long-term skin rejuvenation, a course ensures the results are cumulative and last between 6 to 12 months.

  • Unlike some hyaluronic acid-based boosters that attract excessive water (which can cause puffiness under the eyes), Polynucleotides are bio-compatible and integrate smoothly. They are often the safer alternative for patients who are not suitable for traditional tear-trough fillers but still want to treat dark circles and crepiness.

  • Polynucleotides are derived from purified fish DNA. We use the premium brand Plinest in clinic which is purified Trout DNA and can be used for individuals with a known fish or shellfish allergy. During your consultation, as a GP, I will review your full medical history to ensure your safety.

Aftercare Instructions

  • Immediately after treatment, it is common to see small, firm bumps at the injection sites—practitioners often call this the 'reptilian' phase. These are small reservoirs of purified DNA fragments working to repair your skin. Unlike other boosters, these may take 2–3 days to fully disperse. Crucially: Do not rub, pick, or massage these bumps. They will naturally integrate into your tissue as the regeneration process begins.

  • Your skin is now in a 'repair' state. Please avoid all 'active' skincare ingredients—including Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C, and exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs)—for 5 to 7 days. Stick to a simple, fragrance-free cleanser and a hypoallergenic moisturiser. Always apply SPF 50 daily, as your skin is more sensitive to UV damage during this regenerative window.

  • For the first 48–72 hours, avoid anything that increases blood flow or internal heat to the face, as this can exacerbate swelling or bruising. This includes strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and alcohol. We also recommend avoiding swimming pools for 48 hours to prevent infection at the micro-injection sites. If you have been treated for under-eye rejuvenation, try sleeping with your head slightly elevated on two pillows for the first night to reduce morning puffiness.

  • As this is a medical regenerative treatment, some mild bruising or tenderness is expected. However, if you experience rapidly increasing pain, skin mottling (a dusky, purple, or marble-like appearance to the skin), swelling or lumps that worsen after the 3rd day., or any symptoms that cause you concern, please contact our Wimborne clinic immediately on 07359993579
